Which type of UPS should you use and why?

Due to the significant power demands of data centers and the necessity for consistent, high-quality power, a robust three-phase UPS is required. For your critical IT loads, we suggest a high-performance UPS, such as Eaton 9395X (1 – 1.7 MW), 93PM G2 (50 - 360 kVA), Power Xpert 9395P (250 – 1200 kVA), and 93PS (8 – 40 kVA) UPS which are specifically designed for data centers and meet the efficiency and redundancy requirements.

While security systems are frequently battery-powered, you can connect them to a UPS for an additional layer of protection. With their extended battery runtime, either the Eaton 5PX Gen 2  (1000 – 3000 VA), or the more powerful Eaton 9PX (1 - 22 kVA) are the ideal choice for backing up connected equipment such as power over Ethernet (PoE) switches or systems used for storing security camera footage.

Mechanical loads significantly affect the overall workload of your data center. Eaton UPSs can be utilized to manage mechanical loads, including lighting and cooling.
