Eaton’s Freedom 2100 motor control centres (MCCs) are intelligent MCCs that offer the safest and most effective method for grouping motor control and associated control as well as industrial communications and distribution equipment. The Freedom 2100 MCCs are designed for safety, reliability and quality offering a safe, intelligent and versatile MCC.

Eaton’s MCC aftermarket solutions help extend the life of existing motor control centres without the hassle, cost or extensive downtime associated with modifying existing structures and rewiring. Plugging directly into existing MCCs, aftermarket solutions offer an expected life cycle of 20+ years and are certified to the same UL standards as new MCCs.

Arc-flash safety for MCCs

Today’s motor control centre designs offer a variety of techniques to help prevent dangerous arc-flash events that can cause serious or fatal injuries. An optimal design layers protection for workers and assets, including the Arcflash Reduction Maintenance System feature, arc-resistant construction and FlashGard racking units to improve safety.  

  • Eaton Freedom MCCs feature a Labyrinth bus barrier that electrically insulates and isolates the vertical bus bars to avoid arcing faults
  • Arc-resistant design option protects by containing the hazardous effects of arc flash events
  • Optional FlashGard technology improves arc-flash safety during the insertion and removal of motor control centre buckets
  • Optional Arcflash Reduction Maintenance System feature improves safety by providing a simple, reliable method to reduce the fault-clearing time for main circuit breakers
  • Additional safety features such as IR windows and the absence of voltage testers or other indicators may be incorporated to provide complimentary site safety benefits
